Biographies
Laura Bunso Bittencourt, PT, MTC
Laura is the Director of Rehabilitation at Smart Body. She first earned her Bachelor's in Biology from Jacksonville University and later earned her Master's in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 1999. After graduation she received her certification in Manual Therapy, which involves extensive training in a hands on approach to treating the musculoskeletal dysfunction and pain. This approach shapes her practice and the way she treats many joint and muscle dysfunctions.
In addition, Laura has been specializing in the area of women's health since 1999. After working and studying at the Mayo Clinic, she established Smart Body Physical Therapy in 2004. You will appreciate the special care and undivided attention she gives everyone of her patients.
Charlotte Singletary, PT, ATC

Charlotte has always loved being active in sports and helping people within her community and abroad. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health in 2004 at the University of North Florida. She followed a track in Athletic Training and earned her Athletic Training certification (ATC). As a college student, she worked with various high school and collegiate sports teams within Jacksonville, laying down the foundation of her sports medicine and orthopedics expertise.
Charlotte went on to attend graduate school at the University of Florida earning her Master's degree in Physical Therapy in 2006. At UF, she was active with the Student Physical Therapy Association and helped raise funds for a trip she attended to carry much needed Physical Therapy supplies and evidence-based research to Nicaragua in 2006. Charlotte then developed an interest in Women's Health and Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy as she noticed a need in care for this underserved population. Her interest peeked as she began starting a family of her own.
Charlotte continues to remain active in the community through educating the public through Smart Body University and participating in various local running events. She knows her background in sports and education can inspire people to reach their maximum physical potential while receiving physical therapy with her at Smart Body Physical Therapy.
Amanda Pratt, DPT
Amanda earned her Bachelor's of Science in Exercise Sciences from Harding University in Arkansas in 2003 then went on to obtain her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2008. Amanda began her career in the acute care setting treating many orthopedic post-operative (joint replacement), neurological and wound care patient populations. As a therapist at Smart Body, Amanda can focus on her orthopedic and women's health interests and improve the function and quality of living for all her clients.
