    Laura Bunso
    PT, MTC

    After an extensive career as one of the leading physical therapists at the Mayo Clinic, Laura established Smart Body Physical Therapy in 2004, and is the Director of Rehabilitation.

    After an extensive career as one of the leading physical therapists at the Mayo Clinic, Laura established Smart Body Physical Therapy in 2004, and is the Director of Rehabilitation. She first earned her Bachelor’s in Biology from Jacksonville University and later earned her Master’s in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 1999. After graduation she received her certification in Manual therapy, which involves extensive training in a hands-on approach to treating musculoskeletal dysfunction and pain.

    In addition, Laura has specialized in the area of Women’s and Men’s Health since 1999, and proves to be one of the leading experts in the treatment of urinary/fecal incontinence, back and pelvic pain, and pregnancy-related back and pelvic floor pain. Laura is one of the integral leaders of continuing education in the field of Women’s and Men’s health, both for patients and providers.

    Dr. Cynthia (Cindy) E. Neville
    PT, DPT, WCS, BCB-PMD

    Dr. Neville earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of South Alabama after receiving her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

    Dr. Neville earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of South Alabama after receiving her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Dr. Neville’s professional vision is that rehabilitation services, specifically for the female neuro-musculo-skeletal system, is provided as the standard of care, and will be accessible to all women. Dr. Neville is a Women’s Health Certified Specialist (WCS); board certified by the American Board of Physical Therapist Specialties. In clinical practice, her areas of interest include pelvic floor rehab and obstetric physical therapy. She is certified in biofeedback for pelvic muscle function, and was awarded the Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Physical Therapy (CAPP-pelvic from the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Section on Women’s Health in 2007.

    Dr. Neville is a national and international researcher and presenter on women’s health rehabilitation. She teaches post graduate continuing professional education courses on topics including pelvic floor examination, treatment, and rehabilitation, as well as pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation.

    Cindy combines 25 years of clinical experience, knowledge of current research and practice concepts, to provide the highest quality of individualized care to her patients.

    Dr. Sara Sohn is a graduate of the University of North Florida, where she served as Core Ambassador in the state of Florida for the American Physical Therapy Association. She shares a passion for helping patients achieve optimum function and mobility throughout their life span. Her interests include treating woman and men’s pelvic health, vestibular and balance disorders, as well as general orthopedics and neurological rehabilitation.
     
    Dr. Sohn is working towards her Women’s Health Certification to provide the most effective treatments for male and female sexual dysfunction, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence and musculoskeletal complications of pregnancy. She believes that achieving healthy bowel, bladder and sexual function is something every person deserves and an integral component for a high quality of life. As a triathlete and open water swimmer, Sara has a particular interest in sports recovery for swimmers and cyclists. She is committed to improving her patients’ mobility through a whole body approach that focuses on understanding functional movement patterns during their daily activities. She values using the most evidence-based practices while providing a comfortable environment where patients have an active role in the recovery process.
